Interstate matchups dominate the landscape in high school football this weekend

Massachusetts Hanover 28 Duxbury 18: Senior quarterback Ben Scalzi threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another score in the Hawks 28-18 win over the #9 Dragons. Scalzi completed 15- of- 24 passes for 233 yards and three touchdown passes. He also had a rushing touchdown. The loss was Duxbury’s first since the 2021 Super Bowl loss to Scituate. The Patriots signed tight end Pharaoh Brown today. The 29 year old Brown was signed to the Patriots practice squad on Aug. 30. He has spent time with the Oakland Raiders (2017), Cleveland Browns (2018-19, 2022), Houston Texans (2020-22) and Indianapolis Colts (2023).  The 6-5 246 pound Brown played for Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien in Houston in 2020 so he is familiar with O’Brien and the system.
