Harvard announces their 2029 recruiting class on Thursday. The class features 14 players on offense, 13 on defense, and four on special teams. The offensive talent coming in includes one quarterback, two running backs, seven pass catchers, and four offensive linemen. Five games into the 2025 season and the Massachusetts Pirates have made a change at head coach. On Wednesday, the Pirates announced that they relived Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator Fred Griggs after a 2-3 start to the season. Former UConn offensive lineman Chris Fortin was drafted eighth overall by the Calgary Stampeders in Monday’s CFL Draft. Fortin, a 6’4 303 guard, center was a two year starter at UConn at both positions and gives the Stampeders offensive line versatility and experience. The Patriots announced today that they have released six players: Offensive lineman Jake Andrews, defensive lineman Marcus Harris, wide receiver JaQuae Jackson, linebacker Titus Leo, safety Mark Perry and tight end Giovanni Ricci were all released to open roster spots for some of the incoming rookies, most notably the undrafted free agents.
