Tom Brady abruptly ended his media session on Saturday morning when he was asked about Julian Edelman’s association to Alex Guerrero’s following Edelman’s PED suspension.
Brady responded to the question by calling it “ridiculous”. He then said “I’m out” and walked away.
The Boston media jumped all over Brady for not answering the absurd question. Opinions varied from Brady is protecting Edelman and Guerrero to Brady has to something to hide.
Brady has nothing to hide. The question was ridiculous and unnecessary. Why ask it? Especially when you consider the fact that Brady has never really been honest with the Boston media. He always gives scripted, cookie cutter, company answers.
The Boston media of course has had a field day with it. From making fun of Brady on radio to writing asinine hit pieces, they have made him their whipping boy this week.
Tony Massarotti of the Felger and Mazz show referred to him as “Tommy Girl” for walking away and not answering the question. Really? He’s a girl for not answering the question? Yeah. I see the correlation.
The Boston media has always been an obnoxious lot. They get off on controversy, especially when it happens in Foxboro. I cannot say I am surprised that they are bashing Brady for his reaction to the question. It is what they do. Denigrating people and overreacting is what these people do best. That is what they are paid to do.
It is sad when the focus should be on football but instead, it is on a poorly worded question. That is why I am O.K with Brady storming off. I would have done the same thing.
