I hope Browns fans have realistic expectations for RG3 in Cleveland. 

It’s great that the Browns signed RG3 to a two year deal but let’s be honest, he’s going to be a disaster in Cleveland. It won’t be because of coaching. Hue Jackson is a good coach. He won’t be the problem. It’s Griffin that’s the problem. He’s damaged physically and mentally. Griffin will not be the solution in the “Land”

There are other reasons why Griffin will fail in Cleveland. The Browns don’t have a consistent running game that can take pressure off of him and keep the Browns offense out of long down situations. Griffin will get the crap kicked out of him if the Browns are in second and long and third and long situations. The other issue for Griffin in Cleveland will be protection. Outside of Joe Thomas, the Browns offensive line is awful, especially with Alex Mack gone. Cleveland will be banking on big Cam Irving to take over at center but he’s only in his second season in the league. 

Griffin had a limited market to work with so his options were few and far in between. He had to take the Browns offer. The good news for him is that if there is one coach who could save his career, it’s the creative Jackson. He’ll play to Griffin’s strengths. The problem is, Griffin can’t play. That’s why he’ll be a disaster in Cleveland. If the Browns were smart and that’s debatable, they would draft a quarterback with the second overall pick. If they don’t, they’ll be disappointed when they realize what the rest of the world knows. Griffin sucks!
