Tommy DeVito, 6’2, 210, Illinois: Slotted as the primary veteran backup behind Maye, Tommy DeVito brings proven starting experience and operational poise to the quarterback group. The former Illinois Fighting Illini signal-caller has demonstrated a quick release and the ability to manage live-game scenarios effectively when called upon. His presence gives the coaching staff a dependable insurance policy who can operate the offense smoothly without requiring a drastic shift in game planning if thrust into action.
Behren Morton, 6’2 218, Texas Tech: Rounding out the room is rookie developmental option Behren Morton, selected in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech. Known for his quick release, accuracy and comfort operating out of quick-rhythm passing concepts, Morton provides intriguing upside as a depth project. He will focus during training camp on adjusting to NFL defensive coverages and processing speeds while competing to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
