PEABODY – Tewksbury outlasted Buckingham Browne & Nichols 32-26 in triple overtime to claim the 2026 Northeast 7v7 New England championship on Tuesday night.

“We were anxious to get on the field since last week,” said quarterback Will Harrison. “Playing against a team like BB&N is an honor.”

Trailing 14-6 late in the game, Harrison connected with Grayson Ryder for a touchdown then found Nick Colameta to convert the two-point conversion to tie things up at 14.

“We wanted that game, we wanted that game really badly,” said Harrison.

The two teams continued to exchange touchdowns in overtime and double overtime, but in the third OT, the Tewksbury offense and defense came up with clutch plays.

Harrison – who earned MVP honors – found Colameta in the back of the end zone to give the Redmen the 32-26 lead after a failed conversion attempt.

The Redmen’s defense needed two stops to secure the victory and were able to get them, stopping BB&N to knock off the back-to-back New England champs.

“The chemistry from seven on seven has been insane,” said Harrison. “Our chemistry is going to stay connected through real football and it’s going to be even better.”

After being shutout 20-0 by Lynnfield in its first game of the day, Tewksbury went on to defeat Joseph Case, Peabody, Marblehead, and Masco.

A large reason for the success on Tuesday was the performance of Dom Curreri, who made big play after big play.

“We got off to a rough start but we came back and kept our composure and worked as a team,” added Curreri.

As camp approaches, the Redmen – who came so close in capturing the Division IV Super Bowl – have unfinished business with Harrison at the helm. With Harrison leading the way, Tewksbury should be a favorite in D4 once again.
