Showcase week officially wrapped up on Wednesday night with the Merrimack Valley Conference Showcase. Over the course of the past two weeks, we had four showcase days in the Bay State.
Here is a quick recap from each of the showcase days.
Hockomock represents: College coaches I have spoken with told me that they were impressed with the Hockomock League Showcase. 25 college coaches showed up to watch 100 players from the league workout. The structure of the event and the coaching was top notch but two coaches told me they walked away from the event feeling that there were several prospects on hand that had a shot at potentially playing at an FCS school or Division 2 or 3. A Division 3 college coach I spoke to told me the showcase will give the local colleges at his level a “talent infusion”
Some of the players to keep an eye on that worked out include King Phillip’s Tallan King (RB/LB), Keigan Canto (RB) and Zach Gebhard (QB), North Attleboro’s Nathan Rivera (OL/DL), Mansfield’s Tommy Vallett (QB), Nate Pailer (OL/DL) Andrew DeGirolamo, (WR) and Ramari Fernandez (OL/DL) and Franklin’s Alex Weber (RB/LB). Several other players impressed as well.
Williston Northhampton prospects make an impression: Williston-Northampton had a strong college coaches presence at their showcase. Several players impressed. Drew Alsup showed he much more athletic than colleges were expecting and solidified himself as an FCS wide receiver. Quarterback Crew Colon received multiple offers on the day as did defensive end Atticus Snow who has received several offers since the showcase. Wide receiver Ryan Elloras has received a lot of NESCAC attention since the showcases.
Worcester Academy prospects pick up offers: Worcester Academy had several prospects garner offers after the showcase day on their campus. DE Tyler Brewington continues to impress college coaches and is up to 9 offers as of this post. Quarterback Kaden Silton continues to rise on college coaches recruiting lists, ATH Colton Francis is a 2027 that is starting to see his recruitment heat up as is Ahsante Kamenya. Both are 2027’s to watch. Class of 29 OL/DL is a name to watch. He is already 6’3 255.
Catholic Conference well represented: All of the Catholic Conference schools that participated in last Thursdays showcase left an impression on college coaches. For Xaverian, WR/DB Christian McIntyre ran a terrific 40 time and impressed the college coaches on hand. Soon to be junior quarterback Will Wood was arguably the top quarterback that participated. 2026 offensive lineman Gino Gioioso, Will Anderson and Marty Barnes also made a favorable impression with coaches and are three names to watch moving forward. 2027 OL/DL Jack Warren is another name to watch.
St. John’s Prep’s DB Aaron Radke and WR Pierson Scala both had made an impression on coaches with their speed and athleticism and both received scholarship offers. Cornerback Dayvien Sullivan and WR Riley Selvais also impressed college coaches.
Malden Catholic’s Jeremiah Figaro, a 2027 wide receiver also had a good showing. CM’s Isaiah Simmons, Isiah Faublas and Caleb Garrity all were present and reinforced just how good the Knights passing game will be. Both STJP quarterbacks, Mason Hadad (2026) and Brad Perry (2028) looked like they had potential. The Pioneers are set at the position for the next three years. B.C High returns several skill players and they all had a solid performance at the showcase. 2026’s Sebastian Augustin, Ke’Moni Antenor-Elston, Adam Ayyub and Michael Conley.
First annual MVC Showcase a success: The MVC Showcase featured some of the best players in the Merrimack Valley Conference. Andover WR Ben Hnat impressed with his size and skill as did 2028 quarterback John Stadler who has good size and plus arm talent. Fellow 2028 classmate and WR Michael Crowley also got the college coaches attention.
Chelmsford also had a strong showing as George Peterson returns a talented squad in 2025. Defensive Lineman Nkunim Nkansah, a 2027 has raw potential a great motor and is a natural bender. 2026 QB Anthony Mauriello has good size, is very smooth, and has a tight, quick release. He has garnered a lot of D2 interest.
Central Catholic had a strong showing as well, especially their 2027 participants. The 2027 central Catholic Brian Waller-Reitano led the drills. He has heavy hands and is a finisher. He is a hard worker who has a bright future ahead of him. Defensive backs Drew O’Keefe and 2028 RB/DB Anthony Garcia also impressed.
Methuen has some good skill back. Wide receiver Tim Dornezon made some phenomenal catches. He runs the whole route tree. Excels at one-cut explosiveness and has great acceleration from stop to start in the middle of a route. He tracks the ball well on deep balls. 2026 linebacker Josh DeFatima also impressed college coaches.
Tewksbury’s Emeka Olu 2026 , a running back, linebacker looks the part and performed well. He will be a load for defenses to handle this fall.
Offensive lineman Josef Flores and linebacker Steeven Many both had solid performances and helped their recruiting stock. Flores has a 4.4 GPA. Defensive lineman Alex Phillips and 2027 quarterback Austin Allen represented North Andover well. 2026 defensive back Gryffin Bordeau of Billerica also garnered some attention from the college coaches on hand.
