Week 1 MIAA Top 25

And, we’re off.

The season started with a bang, as there were some interesting results on Thursday night. Our top five remains intact, as all five earned big wins over teams that were in our preseason countdown.

More excitement coming, no doubt.

1. Catholic Memorial (1-0) — Impressive all around against Mansfield.
2. St. John’s Prep (1-0) — This running game is relentless.
3. Springfield Central (1-0) — This reload was extremely impressive.
4. Xaverian (1-0) — Hawks still know how to pound it.
5. King Philip (1-0) — Never let Walpole in it.
6. Milford (1-0) — Strong effort vs. B-R.
7. Lincoln-Sudbury (1-0) — Could have a big year.
8. North Attleboro (1-0) — Will always take a win over Feehan.
9. Central Catholic (0-1) — Hoping Blake Hebert’s injury isn’t serious.
10. Franklin (1-0) — Pulled away from Wachusett.
11. Plymouth South (1-0) — Weapons everywhere.
12. Hanover (1-0) — Huge win over Duxbury.
13. Foxboro (1-0) — Beat a good Holliston team.
14. Milton (1-0) — No issues with Scituate.
15. Barnstable (1-0) — Dominant win over Brockton.
16. Grafton (1-0) — Gators look good.
17. Billerica (1-0) — Looking sharp.
18. Andover (1-0) — Made quick work of Shrewsbury.
19. Everett (0-1) — Will bounce back.
20. Marshfield (0-1) — Made a nice comeback in the Prep loss.
21. Shawsheen (1-0) — Defense played well vs. Bedford.
22. Duxbury (0-1) — Tough loss to a good Hanover team.
23. St. John’s (S) (1-0) — Nice start to the John Vassar era.
24. Methuen (0-1) — Still a dangerous team.
25. Mansfield (0-1) — Will get better.
