Tom Brady doesn’t just pitch Uggs, Under Armour or beds, he also pitches the Celtics. Brady joined the Celtics contingent meeting with Kevin Durant in the Hamptons this evening.

Brady is friends with Durant’s agent Jay-Z so I’m sure the two spoke before Brady decided to join Danny Ainge and company on their trek to the Hamptons. 

So, will Brady influence KD’s decision in any way? No. Durant will be impressed but there is no way he signs with the Celtics. I think he’ll sign a one year deal with an option and stay with the Thunder. It’s his best chance to win a title next season and he can hit the market again next summer.

Regardless, convincing Tom Brady to tag along is still pretty impressive. He’s an all time great. The fact that he’s willing to take time out of his holiday weekend speaks to the fact that he is invested in the Boston area and the other teams in town. 

I wonder if Durant will ask Brady for his autograph? Then again, Durant will make more money in the next two years than Brady has made in his entire career so Durant might be the biggest power player in the room when they meet.
