Patriots Pulse Preview: New England Patriots (3-0) at New York Giants (1-2)

Storyline: Tom Brady is the story tonight. CSNNE Tom Curran reported earlier today that Brady is going to get the start tonight against the Giants. How long Brady plays remains to be seen. Jimmy Garoppolo is going to sit tonight out. Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett will back up Brady.

Here five things I’m looking at for tonight’s game.

1. How Long Does Tom Brady Play? I’m curious to see how long Brady plays tonight. Does he play a quarter? A half? With Bill Belichick, you never know. I’m going to say he plays a half.

2. Who Will Start Along the Offensive Line? If you are going to start Tom Brady in the fourth pre-season, then you have to start some of your veteran offensive lineman. My guess is Nate Solder, David Andrews, Josh Kline and Marcus Cannon will all play in this game. It wouldn’t surprise me if their playing time was tied to Brady.

3. Will We See Julian Edelman? Will Julian Edelman play tonight? That’s the $64,000 dollar question. Edelman played last week and he’s healthy. If his boy Brady is out there, I’m sure Edelman wants to be out there.

4. Big Night for the Bubble Guys: Congrats to all the guys who survived the first cut. Now go out and play well tonight if you want to state your case for a roster spot.

5. How Much Will Jacoby Brissett Play? On the surface, you would think rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett will play three quarters tonight given that it’s the final pre-season game. It’s Bill Belichick though. No one knows how long Brissett will play, but I’d be shocked if he didn’t play at least a half.
