The U is for real and people need to start recognizing Mark Richt’s team.
1. With Oregon falling apart and Stanford lacking a quarterback, Washington has emerged as the best team in the Pac-12 North. Chris Pedersen is building a monster.
2. Baylor barely beat Iowa State. Baylor has narrowly escaped defeat the last few weeks but you get the sense their luck is about to run out.
3. Don’t you think it’s time Miami got some love nationally? They beat a good Georgia Tech team. People need to recognize how good the Canes are.
4. Florida beating a bad Vandy team 13-6 is bad for Florida. The Gators are not quite ready for prime time.
5. Charlie Strong should be on the hot seat. Despite recruiting well the last two years, the results haven’t been there on the field. Mediocrity is unacceptable at Texas.
6. Tennessee pulled another rabbit out of their rear end this week beating Georgia on a Hail Mary but at some point, you have to think their luck will run out. I say it’s this week at A&M.
7. Michigan finally got tested and they responded with a big 14-7 win over Wisconsin. I still think the Wolverines are a playoff team but they’ll have to prove it on the road.
8. Michigan State has completely unhinged. What the hell happened to them? How the hell do you lose to Indiana?? It’s not even a football school.
9. Cal has beaten Texas and Utah but lost to San Diego State. It must be a home versus road thing or something.
10. Despite Louisville losing to Clemson, I still think Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is the best player in the country. Yes. He’s better than DeShaun Watson.
