Memo to Boston Media Members. A Brady Suspension Would Not Be A Blessing in Surprise

I’m convinced that certain members of the Boston media are delusional. If some of my peers think that the Patriots playing without Tom Brady could be a blessing in disguise, then they need to be drug tested.

I think we all agree that the Patriots are a better football team with Tom Brady under center. After all, he is the greatest quarterback of all time.

Many of the proponents of this whacky theory claim that if Brady is suspended the first four weeks of the regular season, it would be a blessing because it would give the Patriots the opportunity to evaluate  Jimmy Garoppolo and Brady can get some rest to start the season. Right…..Is that why Brady is spending millions of dollars fighting this? I don’t think he wants to rest.

Brady doesn’t need rest! He’s Tom Brady! No athlete in professional sports takes better care of themselves physically than Brady. That’s why he’s still play at an elite level at 38. He’s healthy, well rested and ready to go. The notion that playing without Brady would be a blessing is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.

If the Patriots are serious about hoisting a fifth Lombardi Trophy, they need Tom Brady. They go as Brady goes. If he has to serve his four game suspension to start the season, the Patriots will struggle.

So I say to those members of the local media that think life without Tom Brady would be a blessing for the Patriots, get your head examined! The Patriots would nothing without Brady and you’ll see that first hand week one against Arizona.
