544 Days Later, Deflategate is Over. Tom Brady Surrenders

It took 544 days but Deflategate is over. Tom Brady waived the white flag earlier today when he announced on his Facebook page that he will no longer be pursuing legal action.

Like it or not Patriots fans, Brady did the right thing. The Deflategate saga wasn’t going to end until the Supreme Court ruled on it or Brady accepted the suspension. Brady chose to serve the suspension.

Big picture, it’s the right decision. One side or the other had to give in and ultimately, it was Brady. The Patriots are well equipped to weather the storm if you will without Brady. It’ll be tough but if they go 3-1 or 2-2, they’ll be fine.
Nationally, this decision will lol be seen as Brady admitting guilt. He’s not admitting guilt. Brady simply wants the circus and the distraction to go away. In my opinion, he’s being being the bigger man.

As I’ve said all week. In the court of public opinion, some people think Brady is innocent, others think he’s guilty. That’s not going to change regardless of Brady decision today.

People will say whatever they want. It doesn’t change the fact that Brady is a first ballot Hall of Famer and the greatest quarterback of all time. The numbers don’t lie and he put up those numbers with a properly inflated football.

Some will say that Brady put the team before himself in making this decision. I don’t buy it. This has nothing to do with the “Patriot Way” or Brady being selfless. Brady realized he was out of options and made a sensible decision. He should have come to this realization sooner.
