The Bruins stepped it up when it mattered most last night in a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings at the Garden. After a lackluster performance against the Hurricanes on Tuesday night and with their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the B’s stepped it up last night and got two big points.
With Philly losing to the Leafs last night, the Bruins are now in sole possession of the final wild card spot. The Bruins need to take care of business tomorrow afternoon against the Senators. If they do, they’re in.
As far as who the Red Wings and Flyers play. Detroit is at the Rangers, a game they could lose and Philly has to play the smoking hot Penguins tomorrow and the Islanders on Sunday. They’re toast! The Bruins will make the playoffs.
