FAIRHAVEN, Mass. – Fairhaven High School head football coach, Derek Almeida, has been selected as the 2025 New England Patriots Coach of the Year. The award honors the region’s best high school coach. Almeida led Fairhaven to a 12-1 season and their second MIAA Division VI State Championship in three years.
