Week 9 MIAA Top 25
The postseason opened with a bang, with a few upsets and other intriguing results. We did not get a ton of movement at the top of the rankings, but there was some toward the back end. Choate Rosemary Hall, 17 Avon Old Farms 14 – Choate wins a thriller on a last second field goal
WALLINGFORD- Coming into the week, we all knew the Choate, Avon Old Farms game could be the game of the year in Connecticut and in the region but I am not sure anyone thought it would come to a game winning 43 yard kick. In a game featuring several high profile players with FBS offers, it was Choate junior Marc Cappuccitti who would emerge the hero for the Wild Boars……

WELLESLEY — To say the very least, Wellesley did not start off this season the way it wanted to. The Raiders had lost most of its contributors to graduation, and it took a little longer to get going than they hoped. MANSFIELD- Mansfield and Westborough opened Friday night’s round one match-up of the MIAA playoffs by trading scores. Mansfield opened the game on a 14 play, 73 yard scoring drive that was highlighted by the running of senior running backs Nolan Bordieri and Brian Butler.
