Plenty of dude worthy performances this weekend in Division One College Football in the area. Here are this week’s Dudes of the Week. Thomas Castellanos may have saved Boston College’s season with his performance on the ground. Castellanos carried the ball 31 times for 142 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns in the Eagles 27-24 win. UConn 38, Rice 31 — Huskies grab first win

Finally. For the first time this season, UConn has a number in the win column that is not zero. The Huskies went on the road Saturday and earned a 38-31 victory over Rice in a game where they fell behind early. But UConn fought back, took the lead, and held on to it. Boston College 27, Army 24 — Eagles grind out second win in a row

For much of the Jeff Hafley Era at Boston College, the Eagles have had a running game that is, well, underwhelming. But Saturday against Army, BC found that elusive ground attack. Behind a dominant rushing effort, BC earned a 27-24 win over Army, to even its record at 3-3. The loss drops Army to 2-3.
