The Patriots selection of Caleb Lomu at No. 28 overall is a classic future starter pick by Eliot Wolf and the Patriots’ front office. While the roster has immediate needs, the 2026 NFL Draft is about securing the infrastructure for Drake Maye’s long-term success. Here is why the Utah tackle is a home run pick for the Patriots.
The Patriots selected Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu with the 28th overall pick. New England traded picks 31 and 125 (4th Round) to the Buffalo Bills to move up three spots. Patriots VP of Football Ops said Long was a player the Patriots targeted and when he was still on the board at 28, the Patriots pulled the trigger and moved up. Here is my scouting report on Caleb Lomu.
The NFL Draft kicks off tonight and we have five different scenarios the Patriots could be working through in round one. Here is our breakdown of what we think the Patriots could potentially do at Pick 31 in this year’s draft. 1. Draft an edge rusher: The consensus all spring has been that the Patriots are going to draft an edge rusher to go with free agent addition DreMont Jones……
(AP Photo/Steven Senne) As the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh approaches kicks off tomortow, the Patriots’ wide receiver room could be in for a potential shakeup. Reports have surfaced that fourth-year receiver Kayshon Boutte is officially on the trade block. Albert Breer is reporting that the Patriots are seeking a Day 3 pick in exchange for the 23-year-old playmaker. Boutte, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract,…
After a disappointing finish to the 2025 campaign that saw New England fall just short in Super Bowl LX, the focus in Foxborough shifts toward fortifying the roster for another deep run.
In our one and only mock draft, the board fell favorably for an active trade approach, with the Patriots utilizing multiple trades to stockpile assets while addressing critical needs at Edge, Tackle, and Tight End.
The Patriots completed their Top 30 visits last week and once again the list is a good indicator of what they are going to do in this weekend’s draft. Not all players on this list will be drafted by the Patriots but between this list and the 110 other players they met with in the pre-draft process, they are more than likely going to draft exclusively from their list of 140 players they met or spoke with. Here is each player that came in for a 30 visit and how they could fit in with the Patriots.
We recently caught up with Bishop Hendricken standout running back Jeremy Seidi after his commitment to Army. Jeremy had plenty to say about why he made the decision to play football at a service academy and serve his country.
A two-year starter at Missouri, Young lined up as the 5 technique edge. Young finished second in the SEC in tackles for loss (16.5) and third in pressures (53). The coaching staff at Missouri loved Young and a scout told me that they loved him and were high on him. Young profiles as a three down edge who can play all over a front depending on the package. Reminds me of DreMont Jones.
Malachi Lawrence is a high-motor edge defender who has steadily transitioned from a situational pass rusher to a complete defensive end. Known for his explosive first step and relentless pursuit, he possesses the frame and functional strength to compete at the point of attack while maintaining the athletic profile necessary to stress the pocket from multiple alignments.
A starter for two-and-a-half years at Clemson. Parker was an outside edge rusher for the Tigers. He burst onto the scene as a Freshman All-American and had a terrific sophomore season in 2024. He wasn’t as good in 2025 but he had his moments.
