Patriots make a flurry of roster moves

The Patriots were busy on Wednesday, signing seven players who they released to their practice squad and claiming four other players.  The Patriots claimed LB Curtis Jacobs off waivers from Kansas City, OT Demontrey Jacobs off waivers from Denver, DT Eric Johnson off waivers from Indianapolis and OT Zach Thomas off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams. UConn names Wisconsin transfer Nick Evers team’s starting quarterback

The decision was made “couple of weeks ago” according to Mora.
