The Daily Script for August 3rd 2016

1. I can’t say I’m surprised ESPN announced that Tom Jackson is “retiring” from the network after 29 years. He’s not retiring. He’s being forced out. It’s that simple.
2. Happy Birthday to the GOAT, Tom Brady. Big 3-9 for TB12.

3. The Bengals were already thin at cornerback and now that rookie corner William Jackson is done for the season, they are even thinner. Talk about sh*t luck.

4. The Cleveland Browns are close to naming a starting cornerback. Here, let me let the cat out of the bag. It’s RG3.

5. According to Brandon Marshall, Ryan Fitzpatrick is a franchise quarterback. Marshall needs to be drug tested. He has said a lot of dumb stuff in career. That is by far the dumbest!

6. Brandon Spikes is working out for the Dolphins today and there is a good chance he makes the team given how thin the Dolphins are at linebacker.

7. Why would the Cowboys trade for a veteran back up quarterback when they can sign Nick Foles? Foles is just as good as any available veteran right now.

8. The Florida Gators have “modified” wide receiver Antonio Calloway’s suspension from this off-season. Calloway can now practice and play in games. So Jim McElwain is no different than his good buddy Nick Saban after all.

9. Speaking of Nick Saban, it’s obvious he’s blocking cornerback Maurice Smith’s transfer to Georgia. Saban doesn’t want a potential contributor in Smith to transfer to Georgia and play for former Alabama DC Kirby Smith. Smith has graduated, so he’s eligible to play right away. The Nickanator strikes again.

10. Baylor University is not allowing assistants to speak to the media this season. Gee…I wonder why?
