Expectations around New Haven are high as the Bulldogs are the preseason pick to win the Ivy League. Coming off a historic campaign that delivered the program’s 19th Ivy League championship, its first automatic bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs, and the conference’s first-ever FCS postseason victory, the Bulldogs enter the 2026 season with a massive target on their back. In the 2026 Ivy League Football Preseason Media Poll, the Elis were designated as the overwhelming favorite to repeat, securing 15 of the 16 first-place votes and 127 total points.
