We have talked about the Patriots lack of a signature win this season. Well, they finally got one after their 27-24 win over the Chargers. The win was the Patriots best win since they beat Baltimore last season on Sunday Night Football. With the win, the Patriots now improve to 4-4 and find themselves in the thick of things in the AFC. It wasn’t easy as the Patriots repeatedly missed…
The Patriots travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers. The last time these two teams met was last season. The Patriots won that meeting 45-0. The Patriots lead the regular season series 23-14-2. The teams have met four times in the postseason with the Patriots holding a 3-1 advantage. Here is what you need to know about the Chargers. Dismantling the Jets 54-13 was certainly a confidence boast for the Patriots. However, if they don’t build off of that performance and play well today, it was all for naught. The Patriots must prove today that what they did to the Jets last week, is who they are. It can’t be that they just beat up on a really bad football team. Today’s game against the Chargers is an opportunity…

Photo courtesy of Mary Schwalm / AP When the Patriots decided to spend a boatload of money this off-season in free agency, we applauded Bill Belichick for upgrading the talent, especially on offense. The additions of Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith, Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne and Mac Jones meant the Patriots finally had a skill group that would allow them to play they want. For six games, this group struggled…
The Patriots were supposed to beat the Jets today and they did, in convincing fashion. The Patriots 54-13 win was New England’s 12th straight against the hapless Jets. Beating the Jets around here is akin to getting a nor’easter in the winter. It’s expected. However just because it is an expectation, doesn’t mean that a win against the Jets isn’t a big deal. It is a big deal. It is…
FOXBOROUGH – It’s not every year that a Week 7 game against the lowly Jets is a “must win” scenario for the Patriots, but that’s exactly what we had at Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon. With a real possibility that New England would be tied for last place if they lost to New York, the Patriots delivered the performance we’ve all been waiting for, manhandling the Jets 54-13. New England…

One month later and the two teams meet again. Both teams dwindling playoff chances are on the line in what can only be described as a must win. The story of the first meeting…

FOXBOROUGH – In a quiet little corner on the second floor of The Hall at Patriots Place that felt more like a sophisticated library, Richard Seymour slipped on his red jacket at about 12:50 on Friday afternoon. With about seven cameras and five or six members of the media on hand, Seymour smiled, posed for some pictures then answered questions for a few moments while proud members of his family…
