It’s hard to believe, but Stonehill is already entering its fourth full year as a Division 1 program.
The Skyhawks have struggled to find consistency since their first surprising year in 2023 where they went 5-5 (4-3 in the conference) after joining the NEC.
But, this season, there’s reason to believe some momentum is being built. The program is now fully formed in Eli Gardner’s image when it comes to recruiting and hopefully, 2026 means the guys in purple and black down in Easton can give other NEC foes – including the two-time defending champ CCSU – a run for their money.
Stonehill’s full schedule was officially released on Monday. Here’s how it looks (times still TBA):
August 29 – vs. Bryant
September 5 – @ New Haven
September 12 – @ UNH
September 19 – @ UMass
September 26 – @ Ohio
October 3 – BYE WEEK
October 10 – @ Sacred Heart
October 17 – vs. Duquesne
October 24 – @ LIU
October 31 – vs. Mercyhurst
November 7 – vs. CCSU
November 14 – @ Robert Morris
November 21 – vs. Wagner
The thing that obviously sticks out the most is that four-game stretch of road games early in the season. If the Skyhawks can survive that and come out, say, 2-2 at least, it should put them in good shape the rest of the way.
That also allows for three of the final four games of the season to be at home, including a potentially big one against CCSU that could have league title implications.
