Recruiting: Tyler Martin commits to Arizona

It’s official Buckingham Browne and Nichols four star linebacker Tyler Martin has committed to Arizona.

Citing a relationship with Wildcats defensive coordinator Don Brown among other reasons, Martin picked Arizona over schools like Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Arkansas.

Martin, who was garnering college interest in middle school originally committed to Michigan but he decommitted after Brown was relieved of his duties as defensive coordinator following the 2020 season.

Martin visited Nebraska this spring but it was no secret that Arizona was at the top of his list, especially after Jedd Fisch was hired. Martin became a prior in recruiting.

Thanks to Brown, Arizona is starting to become a player in New England recruiting. Landing Martin certainly gives the school credibility with the players and coaches in the area.

Arizona is struggling mightily right now. Martin could find himself starting sooner than later. At 6-2 235, he has the size and athleticism to be an instant difference maker for the Wildcats.
