The 6-3 275 pound Cokes is an Ohio native and a two year starter for the Big Green. He was one of the most disruptive defensive players in the Ivy League the past two seasons and ended up an All Ivy League selection.
Cokes had 8.5 sacks in his career but finished with 14 tackles for loss. He played the five technique defensive end position in the Big Green’s defense.
Cokes held multi offers prior to committing to Colorado. Iowa State, Washington State, Oklahoma State, Miami, NC State and West Virginia all offered Cokes but he ultimately settled on the Buffs.
The grad transfer has two years to play two seasons remaining. He should step in and compete for playing time right away. Cokes is a solid pick up for Sanders and his staff. He fits what they are looking for in the portal.
