Recapping Massachusetts Showcase Days (Milton Academy)

MILTON- Milton Academy Head Coach Mike Mason told me yesterday that the Mustangs graduated 21 seniors from last season’s team. You would think that might deter him from hosting a showcase day. It did not. Mason said it is all about showcasing the younger players in the program.

“I think it’s great to get the younger kids the exposure.” said Mason. “Like I said, we graduated 21 seniors, it’s going to be a lot of work getting these young kids going but just to get them out here and show the coaches who we have coming up the ranks, just get them out there early. I think that’s going to help.”

Despite being young, there were still plenty of talent on display specifically 2026 quarterback Qur’an McNeill who was the focal point of many of the coaches in attendance.

Here are some players who stood out.

Qur’an McNeill, QB, 6’3 195 (2026)

McNeill is one of the top signal callers back in the ISL. He looks the part. He is athletic, mobile and make off -platform throws. He made some nice throws in all three levels on Tuesday. You can tell he needs more skelly time with his receivers but there is no doubt the talent shows.

Jesse Giddings, OL/DL, 6’3 290 (2026)

I liked the way Giddings moved during bag drills. He was fluid and natural and showed some good punch and pop when he hit the bags. He is well built but has room for growth and development. Giddings profiles more as a guard, center type at the next level.

Chase Judge, WR/DB, 6’1 190 (2025)

Judge has good size, ran clean routes and displayed a wide catch radius. He has the make-up of a tough position receiver who can make plays in traffic. I thought he moved well in drills as well and showed a consistent ability to flip his hips.

Dion Kitsos, RB/LB, 6’0 205, (2027)

Really liked what I saw out of Kitsos. Attacked the bags in drills, moved well laterally and has natural hips and range in his overall movement skills. Kitsos has the type of frame where he can play at 215-220 eventually. A good player who will be a big part of the program moving forward.

Dylan Crowley, LB, 6-2 210 (2025)

Thumping linebacker with good size and range. Crowley could probably play some fullback or U tight end as well on offense. Another prospect who can add another 10-15 pounds to his frame and play at 220-225.

Samuel Morales, OL/DL, 6’3.5 285 (2025)

Morales moved well in bag drills. He showed some physicality when punching the bag and got good movement. He moved well laterally and showed coaches he can play in space. Built like a guard who is ideally suited to play inside at the next level.

Kash Kelly, WR, 5’11 180 (2026)

Kelly did not participate because of a hamstring pull from running track but he looked bigger and in great shape. One of the fastest receivers in the region, Kelly is primed for a big season. His connection with McNeill could be potent this season and a problem for ISL 7 opponents.

Milton has a talented group coming in this fall. The group is headlined by former Andover running back Dante Berger (2027) who should garner some attention.
