Patriots Pulse Blog: Sorry Bobby, But the Draft Pick Ship Has Sailed.

I give Bob Kraft an A for effort when it comes to recouping the Patriots first round pick in next month’s draft but as far as I’m concerned, it’s too little, too late. Kraft should been trying to recoup that pick ten months ago, not now.

Roger Goodell is not going to give the Patriots pick number 29 back. It’s not going to happen. There’s a reason the NFL appealed Judge Berman’s decision against them. The league thinks Tom Brady and the Patriots are guilty of deflating footballs. Goodell isn’t going to change his position on the matter and he’s certainly not going to change his mind regarding the punishment he handed down last May.

I don’t blame Kraft for trying to recoup the pick but the fact of the matter is, it’s pointless. Doing the old school wink, wink nudge, nudge with Goodell won’t work because he is cold hearted, manipulative jackass who is abusing his power. The Patriots need to face reality. They’ll be watching the first round like the rest of us.
