Tom Brady learned a valuable lesson today. The NFL always win. Brady’s four game suspension was reinstated today meaning that Brady will have to serve a four game suspension to start this season. Brady can appeal the suspension and he probably will but his options are limited.
We all agree that today’s reinstatement of Brady’s suspension is a joke but it’s not s surprise. You had to think the NFL felt that had a shot at winning this appeal otherwise they wouldn’t have pursued it.
It’s a shame that the NFL has invested more resources in trying to punish Tom Brady than they have in trying to punish scum bags like Greg Hardy. It’s further proof that Roger Goodell and his cronies have made a mockery of the league and it’s time for him to go.
I’m sure Brady will get an injunction to block the reinstated suspension and there’s a good chance he’ll win another appeal but something has to give. This saga needs to end. Something tells me it won’t. It’ll probably get to the Supreme Court.
Either way you look at it, the Patriots have to once again prepare for life without Brady. This time however, they end up opening the season without Brady and just like the last time we went through this, that’s a scary thought.
