This Sunday, there will be plenty of people both in the stands and watching at home rooting for former UNH star Dylan Laube.

Laube is in his second year with the Raiders and very well could be Las Vegas’ main kickoff returner when Andy Borregales boots the ball around 1:05 on Sunday afternoon.

During his senior season in 2023 with the Wildcats, Laube was No. 1 in the nation in all-purpose yards (209.5 yards/game) and No. 2 in both total TDs (18) and scoring (10.8 points/game). He was third in the nation in kickoff returns (31.1 yards/return) and No. 8 in combined kick returns (647 yards) and receptions per game (6.8).

Laube put up 2,095 all-purpose yards, including 15 kickoff returns for 467 yards and one TD. He also added 16 punt returns for 180 yards and one TD. He’s currently the UNH leader in nine stats including kickoff return yards, KO return average and punt return yards. Laube also matched his UNH record (shared with three others) for longest kick off return with a 100-yard touchdown at nationally-ranked Delaware.

Laube topped 200 all-purpose yards six times, including a season-high 371 at Central Michigan and he recorded 310 all-purpose yards and two TDs vs. nationally-ranked Villanova where he had three KO returns for 103 yards.

On Thursday morning, Patriots special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer spoke about what he’s seen from Laube on film.

“I think he’s a great a player. I loved him coming out of the draft,” he said. “To me, he’s one of those guys you love on special teams. He’s going to do everything right. He does what ever you need. He wants to learn, he wants to get better every single rep. He plays his role. At the end of the day, At the end of the day, those are all qualities that relate to special teams.

“I see him being a core guy for them and definitely a guy we need to prepare for.”
