Ozzy Trapilo & Donovan Ezeiruaku officially sign rookie deals

The first two BC draft picks in 2025 are now officially on the books in the NFL.

Donovan Ezeiruaku signed his rookie deal in Dallas on Thursday and Ozzy Trapilo signed his with Chicago.

Ozzy’s deal is a four-year agreement worth just over $7.7 million with the first two years fully guaranteed, per Albert Breer. The third year is 72% guaranteed. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported that Ezeiruaku’s four-year deal also got done and he’ll receive 38% of the fourth year of the deal guaranteed. Donovan’s deal is worth $10.1 million with the first three years fully guaranteed. A good chunk of the contract is also in signing bonus form. Ezeiruaku was the last Cowboys rookie that remained unsigned.

With trouble continuing to brew in Dallas for Micah Parsons, Ezeiruaku may suddenly be the face of that defense sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, getting Trapilo’s deal done in Chicago was important too, as he’ll likely see plenty of playing time early on while trying to protect Caleb Williams and the new-look Bears offense.

From a BC fan standpoint, this is always a good thing. Any time the Eagles can continue to show off the deals guys that went through the program are signing, it’s going to help recruiting, especially with the offensive linemen.

Ezeiruaku will first suit up as a Cowboy on the road August 9th against the LA Rams. Trapilo’s first game as a Bear will come will come August 10th at home against the Dolphins.
