From 2018-2020, Matt Judon and Chris Board were teammates with the Baltimore Ravens.
Judon’s been a Patriot for a couple years now, but he’ll be seeing a familiar face around the locker room this fall as Board signed with the Patriots as a free agent. On Tuesday, Board met the New England media for the first time for a quick 15-minute Q&A session.
When asked about teaming back up with No. 9., Board was excited and highly complementary of the man who was inarguably the team’s MVP a year ago after nearly setting the franchise sack record.
“Matty’s a dog man, a motor,” he said. “Saw it in Baltimore earlier before he left and I think he’s really blossomed ever since he got here as well. He’s definitely a dog, definitely looking forward to playing with him as well. He’s definitely a playmaker, I can’t say enough things about him.”
Since he’s been here, Judon has also been a very active recruiter on Twitter when it comes to free agents. So, did the two talk prior to Board signing?
“Yeah, I FaceTimed him before, kind of before I signed, just to get a feel for what he thought,” Board added. “He spoke nothing but high things of the organization and wanted me to come here for sure. That definitely was a factor as well in getting me to come.”
