Iowa subdued Michigan on Saturday night and turned the college football world upside down.
1. The College Football was turned upside down on Saturday when Michigan, Clemson and Washington all lost. It’ll be interesting to see which way the committee goes tonight.
2. The beneficiary of Saturday’s chaos is Penn State. The Nittany Lions control their own destiny. If they win out, they go to the Big Ten Championship game. If they win in Indy, they’ll make the final four.
3. Another Saturday, another win for Alabama. They crushed Mississippi State and firmly entrenched themselves as the number one team in the country.
4. Saturday’s Oklahoma, West Virginia game is the defacto Big 12 title game. The winner of the game has the best shot of making the college football playoff.
5. Everyone keeps talking about Ohio State as the best one loss team in the country but how can we forget about Louisville? Lamar Jackson and company will be a factor down the stretch.
6. What has happened to Texas A&M? Two weeks ago, they were a top four team in the country. This weekend they lost to Ole Miss. Talk about a fall from grace.
7. When are Colorado and Washington State going to get some love nationally? I sense some East Coast bias.
8. I can’t say I’m surprised Clemson lost to Pitt. I don’t buy the Tigers. Never have.
9. The Nebraska folks need to chill out. Your Huskers are not a top ten team. Stop with the nonsense!
10. Member when Clay Helton was on the hot seat at USC two months ago? Member? Yes, I went there. A South Park reference.
