NCAA Football: Dime Package for Week 4

The Trojans haven’t been doing much fighting under Clay Helton thus far in 2016.

1.USC is 1-3. Do you think Pat Haden and the admin at SC regret promoting Clay Helton? If you asked them privately, they would say yes. Current AD Lynn Swann however has supported Helton publicly.

2. Is there any chance we could Lamar Jackson the Heisman now? I don’t want to see him regress and not win it. He is by far the best player in the country through four weeks.

3. Michigan has like eight home games or something this season so it’ll be hard to tell how good they really are until they hit the road.

4. I can’t say I am surprised that Wisconsin kicked Michigan State’s ass. The Badgers may not have a plethora of four and five star recruits but they are well coached and tough.

5. After losing 38-35 to Duke on Saturday, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly fired defensive coordinator Brian Van Gorder. Van Gorder’s defense struggled this season so the firing is justified. Kelly needs to turn things around or he could be shown the door at the end of the season.

6. Ole Miss is good, real good. They absolutely destroyed Georgia. Its too bad they opened the season with Florida State and Alabama because if they had an easier schedule to start the season, they might be unbeaten right now.

7. Stanford had no business beating UCLA on Saturday night, especially when you consider how badly they were out played. However, when you have a player as good as Christian McCaffery, you can come from behind and steal games.

8. Speaking of Stanford, they must run the table if they want to end up in the college football playoff. A trip to Seattle this Friday night to battle undefeated Washington could prove to be a tough test.

9. Could Texas A&M be the best team in the SEC? It is not as far fetched as you think. The Aggies are loaded with talent and they have a quarterback in Trevor Knight.

10. LSU firing Les Miles is a joke! I have more to say on that topic. Look for a blog post later.
