The Los Angeles Lakers have turned into an embarrassment and I love it. From Kobe’s pathetic retirement tour to Nick Young cheating on Iggy Azalea to De’Angelo Russell snitching on Young, the Lakers have turned into a pathetic circus and as a life long Celtics fan, I couldn’t be happier! 

Add to that the pathetic tenure of Byron Scott as coach and the Lakers look like a team that’s years away from contending. Scott is an awful coach. Sure, he hasn’t had much to work with in L.A but the team should be better than they are.

The DeAngelo Russell snitch situation is worth monitoring because Russell is their most promising young player. If his teammates don’t trust him and they don’t like him anymore, that could be an issue long term. The Lakers need to find a way to clean up this mess involving Russell and Young before it gets worse. 

One of the other issues plaguing the Lakers is a lack of front office leadership. GM Mitch Kupchak is a joke. He can’t attract talent to Los Angeles anymore because he doesn’t have a marqee player to build around. Having the personality of sour cream doesn’t help him either. He’s a dolt!

Factor in the Buss family and their dysfunction and you can see why the Lakers have become an embarrassment. It’s all good though. I love it! I hope the Lakers are down for a long time. They’ve caused me a lot of sports pain in my life. I’m going to enjoy this as long as I can. I’m just saying.
