If I were a Bruins fan, I would get a lawyer and take the Bruins to court. Why you ask? I would take them to court demanding a refund after today’s pitiful performance against the Habs. 

I get the Bruins were without David Krejci and Brad Marchand but the lack of effort and disinterest right out of the gate in the first period was embarrassing. Your city is hosting the signature event of the NHL regular season and you come out flat? That’s disgusting.

It’s not like the Canadiens were playing well coming into the Winter Classic. In fact, they had the worst record in the NHL in December. They were in the middle of a free fall but leave it up to the Bruins to cure all that ills the Habs.

It helped Montreal that Brendan Gallagher returned today. He is a catalyst for them offensively and you saw that today. He made a huge difference in the game scoring a goal and assisting on another. 

It doesn’t get any easier for the Bruins to start the new year. They host the red hot Capitals at the Garden on Tuesday night and then hit the road for a tough five game road trip after that. Luckily for them, they have the next three days off to lick their wounds after a pathetic performance today. Bruins fans deserve better! I’m just saying.
