Idiot of the Day: Adam LaRoche.

I know I might seem like I’m a couple of days late to the party with this story but up until now, it hasn’t interested me. Well, that is until today when Adam LaRoche released a statement saying that when he signed with the White Sox two off-seasons ago, team vice president Kenny Williams told him his son Drake could be around the team on a daily basis.

Look. I’m sure Williams told LaRoche that at the time but then changed his mind when he realized that the clubhouse is not a day care center. It’s a place of work. He told LaRoche he couldn’t bring his kid around as much so LaRoche did what any good father looking to set an example for his son would do. He quit!

LaRoche is an idiot! I get it. He loves spending time with his son. However, retiring simply because your employer told you to leave him at home every now and then is ridiculous. LaRoche took his ball and went home. He should be ashamed for setting such a bad example for his kid. If I were the White Sox, I wouldn’t want a guy like that in my clubhouse. He’s a baby! They should be thankful LaRoche retired. It’s obvious he’s not a team guy.
