Extra points

🏈 Thornton Academy went 11-0 last year and won the Class A state title. The Trojans should be good again. Leading the way this fall will be WR/CB Henry Lousier, LB Tommy Johnson, RB/DB Hayden Whitney, QB/S Caden True, QB/S Ryan O’Keefe, and LB Harry Bruce.

🏈 Marshwood coach Alex Rotsko has yet another talented team back and the Hawks will be well positioned to repeat as Class B champions. Marshwood has won seven Class B championships in the last ten years. One of the most impressive runs in all of Nee England.

🏈 Bonny Eagle returns a slew of seniors who will lead the way for the Scots this year. QB Cam Marcello, WR Hayden Campbell, WR Caden Nixon, RB Trevor Perkins, OL Nick Ryker, and OL Brody Ernst. As usual, the Scots will be a player in Class A.

🏈 Matt Perkins is going into his 19th season guiding a Windham program that went 11-1 last season and lost in the Class B title game to Marshwood. The Eagles do return some key contributors from last season’s team.

🏈 Cape Elizabeth beat Winslow last season in the Class C state title game and returns several key contributors from that team including: WR/CB Luke Mello, WR/LB/RB Nick Loughlin and WR/RB/LB Ceroi Mello.

🏈 Leavitt will be another program to watch in Class C. The 2013 and 2019 state champions have experience back and Coach Mike Hathaway is going into his 20th season at the helm. The Hornets will once again be a factor in class that has some contenders like Wells, Nokomis and Winslow.

🏈 In Class D, defending champion Foxcroft will once again be among the favorites. The Ponies have been either champion or runner up each of the last three years. When they were in Class C, it was the same thing. This is one of the most consistent programs in the state.
