20 NEPSAC 2026 Prospects to watch at next week’s showcases

The 2026 NEPSAC class will be on full display next week during the annual Connecticut and Massachusetts Showcases days. Several private schools in the area have talented players who are primed to impress the over 100 college coaches who are scheduled to attend the workouts.

Here are 20 NEPSAC players to watch for during the two showcase days.

1. Marky Walbridge, OT, 6’6 285, St. Sebastian’s: Walbridge remains uncommitted but has 27 offers. He currently holds offers from Boston College, UConn, UMass, Michigan, Alabama, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Florida and Michigan State among others. He is the top prospect in Massachusetts and New England so coaches will be watching closely.

2. Marcus Almeida, DE, 6’4 280, Tabor Academy: Almeida has raw physical tools and starting to garner attention both as a defensive end and defensive tackle. He currently holds offers from 22 schools. UMass, UConn, Minnesota, Kentucky, Clemson are among the schools recruiting him. The FBS offers are coming fast! He will garner a lot of attention next week.

3. Carter Gooden, DE, 6’5 255, Tabor Academy: Long and lean, Gooden has ideal length and get off to play in today’s game. He can line up as a wide five or nine technique and he can kick inside in sub packages. He currently holds 11 offers. Boston College chief among them.

4.  Kayden Bennett, EDGE, 6’2 245, Suffield Academy: Bennett is a twitchy edge player who is athletic enough to play off the ball as well. He can rush off the line or from depth and has the explosiveness to get to the quarterback. Bennett holds offers from Boston College, UMass, UConn, URI, Buffalo, Wake Forest and Syracuse among others.

5. Rowan Aherns, OT, 6’6 285, Brunswick School: Ahrens has so much untapped potential. He is natural bender who can move in space and handle himself one on one in pass pro. He needs some refinement but the physical tools are there for him to play at the FBS level. Currently holds offers from Boston College and Duke but could pick up more next week.

6. Jude Okeleke, DT, 6’3 290, Taft School: One of the more under the radar prospects in New England, Okeleke has a chance to enhance his recruiting value next week. Twitched defensive tackle who wins with get off and lean.  Okeleke  needs to play lower and use his hands better but the disruptive athleticism is there.

7. Nicholas Fiumera, OL, 6’5 290, Belmont Hill: Fiumera can play guard or tackle. He is really growing into his frame and he developed further as an athlete last season. He fits into blocks with a proper pad level and bend. He has gotten strong as a run blocker and displaces defenders frequently. Pass blocking is also a strength. He will be counted on to lead a talented but young offensive line. Expect Fiumera to impress coaches during his workout. He currently holds offers from several schools. Army, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, liberty, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Old Dominion, Pennsylvania, Yale, Air Force, Navy, Georgetown, Temple, Lafayette, Princeton, and Holy Cross are among the schools that have offered.

8.  Kharon Williams, RB, 5’11 175, Avon Old Farms: Arguably the best running back in the region. Williams is healthy and ready to showcase the speed, power and balance that has made him one of the most talented backs in the region. A standout athlete who is also one of the top defensive backs in the region as well. He is instinctive and smooth in his movements. He has top flight ball skills. Boston College, Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, MassachusettsMississippi, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Washington, and West Virginia are among the schools that have offered.

9. Amahn Williams, OL, 6’5 275, Tabor Academy: Williams really developed last season and he could take a big jump in terms of his recruitment this spring. His versatility and athletecism make an intriguing prospect. He can play both guard and tackle. He also offers value as an interior defensive lineman. He has played with improved pad level and some explosiveness on the snap. Buffalo, Connecticut, Boston College, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Old Dominion, Rhode Island, Sacramento State, and Central Florida.

10. Timothy Church, OL, 6’5 295, BB&N: Church could really take another step in his recruitment with a strong showing on May 13th. He has come a long way in terms of his movement skills and his ability to bend, fit and finish. Another offensive lineman who could play guard or tackle depending on where he ends up. He holds offers from UMass, Syracuse and Dartmouth

11. Charlie Hanafin, ATH, 6’2 184, Dexter Southfield: Hanafin is smooth, fluid athlete who runs clean routes and can get in and out of breaks with ease. He has strong hands and runs a full route tree. He can also play defensive back and shows good timing anticipation and ball skills when in coverage. He has garnered interest from several school but a strong showcase could lead to more offers.

12. Chris Oswitt, OL/Dl, 6’3 280, Williston-Northhampton: Oswitt is an underrated prospect in New England. He can play guard or defensive tackle. He has strong hands, plays with a good pad level and bend. He is athletic in space and can fit and finish blocks.  Oswitt currently holds offers from UPenn, Dartmouth, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Georgetown, Bryant, Brown, Army, Cornell, Umass, and Navy,

13. Kieran Edwards, ATH, 6’1 186, Brunswick: Long, athlete and quick to change direction, Edwards has high end traits that he can put on full display during his showcase day. He is a versatile weapon who be lined up in the backfield, slot and split wide. Getting him touches in different ways is the name of the game. Defensively, Edwards plays with good instincts and can make plays on the ball. Georgetown, Yale, Brown, Cornell, UPenn, Dartmouth, Monmouth, Univ of New Hamshire, Air Force and Navy are among the schools that offers out to Edwards.

14. Giovanni Joseph, DB, 6’0 176, Milton Academy: Joseph plays offense and defense but he is at his best as defensive back who can play corner or safety. He has natural instincts and high end ball skills and if he showcases his athleticism on May 13th, he should garner even more interest than he has now. He currently holds offers from Brown, Harvard and Army.

15. Linkin Zylstra, OL/DL, 6’3 285, St. Thomas More: Zylstra has impressive tape and a good showing this this off-season will only raise profile further. He plays with heavy hands and he is strong. He needs to play with a lower pad level but the physical tools are there. At last check, Zylstra held offers from UConn, Syracuse, Western Kentucky and Temple.

16. Qur’an McNeill, QB, 6’3 195 Milton Academy: McNeill gets another opportunity to impress college coaches before deciding on his future. He checks off every box physically. Size, athletic and plus arm talent. McNeill is one of the top signal callers in the region. McNeill holds 6 offers and could reinforce what he has or add to his total with a strong showing.

17. Nate Olson, DB, 6’2 180, Avon Old Farms: Athletic and fluid, Olson has the physical tools to be an impact skilled player on both sides of the ball. Olson profiles as a future safety at the collegiate level and it is why he garnered interest from schools like Columbia, Army, UMass, Monmouth, Air Force, and Fordham.

18. Tanner Raymond, TE/DE, 6’3 225, Choate Rosemary Hall: Raymond is the modern tight end in this era of spread offenses. He is an athletic match-up piece who can move around and make plays one on one. Raymond holds offers from Georgetown, Fordham and Columbia but with a strong showing on Monday, that list could grow.

19. Will Tellers, OL/DL, 6’4 270, Choate Rosemary Hall: Tellers is one of the more underrated prospects in New England. He has good length and quickness for his size. I think he profiles more as a defensive tackle long term because of his effort. For now, he is a guard, DT prospect to keep an eye on in these showcases. Teller has offers from Penn, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Bucknell, and Monmouth

20. Noah Frazier, EDGE, 6’2 234, Cheshire Academy: Really intriguing edge player who has length and good snap explosiveness. Frazier is a sleeper prospect who has tested well and is primed for a big season. Frazier is a player that college coaches could walk away from his showcase saying, we need to offer that guy.
