Former LaSalle standout Jamezell Lassiter commits to Vanderbilt

Former LaSalle standout Jamezell Lassiter has committed to Vanderbilt. Lassiter played for Brian Barbato at Deerfield Academy last season.

Lassiter is a 5-8 190 pound running back who is versatile. He is a three down back who can make plays both as a runner and as a receiver out of the back field.

After a terrific four year career playing for Geoff Marcone at LaSalle, Lassiter prepped and the move paid off. Now he will have an opportunity to play college football in the SEC.

Lassiter had drawn interest from Brown, URI, Army, Navy, Long Island, Penn and Miami (Fla) but ultimately chose to attend Vandy.

He was a part of the Rams state title winning team in 2022 and was a two time all-state performer and a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee.

Now Lassiter takes the show on the road. With his sub 4.5 speed, he could play running back or slot receiver for the Commodores.
