Week 10 featured some quality performances (Jared Goff) and some forgettable performances (Adrian Peterson). Here are this week’s studs and duds.
Studs
1.Jared Goff, QB, Rams: For the second straight week, Goff threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdown passes in a game. He torched a depleted Texans defense in the Rams 33-7 win. Goff is a QB1 moving forward.
2. Mark Ingram, RB, Saints: Ingram has been a monster since Adrian Peterson got shipped out of town. Apparently AP’s presence was a motivating factor for Ingram. He ran through the Bills to the tune of 131 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ingram has had a terrific bounce back season and if you took a chance on him in the second round or later, you are being rewarded.
3. Case Keenam, QB, Vikings: I am not quite sure why there is a quarterback controversy in Minnesota? Keenum went 21-29 for 304 yards and four touchdown passes against the Saints. I know he threw two interceptions and the return of Teddy Bridgewater means the Vikings have another option, but Keenum has proven he deserves to be the Vikings starter moving forward.
4. DeMarco Murray, RB, Titans: Murray’s overall stat line was not that impressive. He only rushed for 42 yards on 14 carries. He made those carries count however scoring two rushing touchdowns as well as a receiving touchdown. Murray has been a huge disappointment this season but at least he rewarded fantasy owners down the stretch, which was a welcomed sight.
5. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings: Thielen was a monster against the Redskins catching 8 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. Thielen has been a steady source of point production for fantasy owners this season and is a solid WR2 or Flex.
Duds
1.Adrian Peterson, RB, Cardinals: I have been a staunch proponent of Peterson but I have finally come around to the idea that he is done. Sure, he will rack up the yards against the bad defenses but he does nothing against good defenses. He is the ultimate week to week match up play.
2. Hunter Henry, TE, Chargers: Henry’s performance this week made me feel good. I included him in a trade last week. Good riddance!
3. Jack Doyle, TE, Colts: I grabbed Doyle as a stream replacement for Zach Ertz and he got me 1 measly point. That’s right. ONE!!!!!
4. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears: I was on the Cohen bandwagon in the beginning of the season but Cohen has fallen off a cliff since Mitchell Trubisky became the Bears quarterback. He is not worth rostering anymore.
5. Alfred Morris & Darren McFadden, RB’s, Cowboys: Notice I didn’t tell you at any point on this site to run out and grab Morris and McFadden. If you were naive enough to think the Cowboys were going to keep pounding the ball in Zeke Elliott’s absence, you are a fool!
