It is the start of championship week in fantasy football. If you are in the title round, congratulations. Now roster management becomes even more important. Here are five players you should add to your roster and five players you should drop.
Add Em!
1.Keelan Cole, WR, Jaguars: Cole has scored in three straight games and has double digit points in those games. Cole and fellow undrafted free agent receiver Jaydon Mickens have emerged as Blake Bortles go to guys.
2. Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers: Bryant has been getting more targets the last four weeks and with Antonio brown out until the playoffs, Bryant figures to get number one receiver targets for the Steelers the next two weeks.
3. Eric Ebron, TE, Lions: Ebron has caught 15 passes and a touchdown in the last two games. This late season chemistry that he has developed with Matthew Stafford makes Ebron an appealing waiver wire pick up moving forward.
4. Bears Defense: If you are looking for a late season playoff stream, the Bears are the defense to pick up. Chicago is averaging 8.2 points per game this season. The Bears have four defensive touchdowns and they are stingy at home. Oh and they host the lowly Browns this week. You know. The 0-14 Browns who make every defense look like a Super Bowl caliber defense.
5. Robbie Gould, K, 49ers: Kickers can help you win a championship. The 49ers don’t score a lot of touchdowns but they move the ball and position Gould to kick field goals. Gould is averaging 10.6 points per game in standard scoring. The last three weeks, Gould has scored 15, 17 and 24 points in a standard format. He is worth streaming and using.
DROP EM!
1. Alfred Morris, RB, Cowboys: Zeke is back! You know what that means? Alfred Morris is once again obsolete in the world of fantasy football.
2. Doug Martin, RB, Bucs: The Bucs placed five players on I.R on Wednesday. Martin wasn’t one of them but there is a good chance he gets shut down for the season. Even if he doesn’t, Tampa is using the next two weeks to evaluate younger players which means Martin’s touches will be limited.
3. Austin-Sefarian Jenkins, TE, Jets: ASJ has only scored in double digits once in the past seven weeks. With Josh McCown out, Jenkins has limited value. There are better streaming options out there. That and you can free up a roster spot by dropping Jenkins at this point.
4. Titans Defense: Giving up 25 points to the 49ers is inexcusable. I don’t care how well Jimmy G is playing. There is no excuse for that! There are better match up streams out there.
5. Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: Not a reach folks. Brown is not going to play in the next two games. Why hold onto him and waste a roster spot? You are better off cutting him, opening up a roster spot and streaming a player you can use the next two weeks. The Steelers don’t need Brown to beat the hapless Texans and Browns.
