Doc’s Daily Rants for February 15th 2016

Paul George played some quality defense last night. I mean, look at the technique. Text book!

1. The NBA all-star was a joke last night. The final score was 196-173? Really? Did anyone attempt to play defense? All-star games are a thing of the past. They need to go. We need to let them go! Stop hanging onto yesteryear.

2. Red Sox players and coaches aren’t wasting any time. Many of them have reported early to Fort Myers. Pitchers and catchers don’t report until Thursday. That’s good to see. I like the attitude of this team already.

3. The Peyton Manning story in the New York Daily News over the weekend was damning but let’s gets real, it’s not going to affect Manning. The national media is already covering up for him. Just like the HGH thing, it’s not going anywhere.

4. Brad Marchand has 28 goals after scoring the fastest goal in Bruins history yesterday in a 6-5 loss to Detroit. He’s on pace for 40 plus. Marchand is finally living up to his potential because he’s starting to mature and Claude Julien is letting him play. It also helps that Marchand has more offensive responsibility now that Lucic is gone.

5. Come on Danny! The all-star game is over. Make a deal! Let’s go! The Celtics need a proven commodity or two on this roster.
