College Football: Week 7 Picks against the Spread

P.J Fleck will have his Gophers ready to play at the Horseshoe.

Lots of quality games to put money on in Week 7. Here are out top games and who you should take.

Minnesota (+29.5, 59.5) at Ohio State: The Fighting Fleck will play Ohio State tough at the horseshoe and cover as a dog. Minnesota’s ability to run the football and get pressure on the quarterback will be the difference.

Tennessee (+14.5, 45.5) at Auburn: Auburn can’t run the ball the way we are accustomed to seeing. Their offense has struggled and as a result, I am taking the Vols as a road dog in what should be a close game.

Florida at Vanderbilt (+7, 50.5): The The Commodores are tough at home, especially in conference games. That and Florida is due for a let down after last week’s win over LSU.

Oklahoma State at Kansas State (+7, 61.5): I’ll take the Cats as a home dog. Oklahoma State all of a sudden can’t score points and that doesn’t bode when you are on the road at K-State.

Pittsburgh (+21, 54) at Notre Dame: Notre Dame should roll but I still don’t trust them. That’s why I’m taking Pitt as a road dog. Why not? The Irish have a tendency to play down to teams like the Panthers. That’s why I’m taking them as a dog.

Washington at Oregon (+3.5, 57.5): Give me Justin Herbert and company at home against the Huskies. After a bitter home loss to Stanford two weeks ago, the Ducks will make amends today.

UCF at Memphis (+4.5, 81): I think Memphis will put a scare into the Knights but Central Florida will find a way to survive and extend their winning streak to 19.

Baylor (-14, 59.5) at Texas: Texas is bound to have a let down after last week’s big win over Oklahoma. That and Baylor is much better in year two of the Matt Rhule era. Take the Bears as dogs.

Georgia at LSU (+7.5, 50.5): I think Georgia will win this game but they will have their hands full against an LSU team that will be looking to make amends after last week’s ugly loss to Florida.

Michigan State at Penn State (-13, 53): The Lions should bounce back at home against a disappointing Michigan State team that has failed to live up to the hype. Penn State cannot have another let down performance after losing to Ohio State.

Miami (Fla.) at Virginia (+7, 47.5): Yeah, why not? The Fighting Mendenhall’s have enough talent to put a scare into the Canes and I think they will. Virginia plays Miami tough but loses a close one.

Virginia Tech at North Carolina (+6.5, 58.5): Another yeah why not. Virginia Tech is a shell of what they usually are. That’s why the Tar Heels will have a chance to play with them in this game.

West Virginia at Iowa State (+6.5, 56): Iowa State is dangerous at home. Head coach Matt Campbell and his staff always have the Cyclones ready to play in big games. This week should be no different against Will Grier and company.

Missouri at Alabama (-28, 74.5): Mizzou doesn’t play good enough defense to hang with Bama in this game. Drew Lock and company can score but it won’t a

Wisconsin at Michigan (-10, 49): When is Michigan going to start earning some respect nationally? The Wolverines are playing their best football of the season and need a statement win. They get it this week against an overrated Wisconsin team.

Colorado at USC (-7, 57): I know the Buffs are 5-0 and have one of the best offensive players in the country in Lavista Shenault but I don’t think it will be enough. Give me the Trojans at home as a touchdown favorite.
