College Football: Ten Thoughts On The Week That Was in College Football.

Texas is back baby! For now.

Week four had some highs and lows. Here are some thoughts on the weekend that was in college football.

1. Texas is back! Ok maybe not but wins over USC and TCU in the last two weeks are still impressive.

2. I feel bad for Boston College fans. They actually believed that their beloved Eagles were a contender in the ACC and then they played Purdue.

3. I don’t know what Scott Frost’s timeline for turning it around at Nebraska is but he better alter it. The Cornhuskers stink!

4. Old Dominion’s win over Virginia Tech is proof that the mid-majors can play with and beat upper echelon teams.

5. Both Notre Dame and Miami did the right think making quarterback changes this week. Ian Book and N’Kosi Perry are better fits in their respective offense than their predecessors.

6. Wisconsin bouncing back and beating Iowa was big for the Badgers but I still don’t buy them.

7. Colorado State pays Illinois State to play, Illinois State Bears Colorado State. So much for a winnable game.

8. Mark Stoops has patiently built a program in Lexington and it looks like its paying off. Kentucky dominated Mississippi State in every phase of the game in their 28-7 win.

9. Man I was hoping Army would pull off the upset against Oklahoma. The game shouldn’t have been close but it shows you the impact of option football. It keeps teams in games.

10. Stanford’s come back win over Oregon saved the Cardinal season and set up a big time show down with Notre Dame next weekend.
