We have been telling you about Ramar Thomas for months. Now you know why. The Catholic Memorial freshmen quarterback/athlete received his first college offer on Friday and by Sunday evening, he was committed to Boston College, continuing the CM to BC pipeline.

Thomas was originally offered by the Eagles in early December and was on campus this past weekend for an unofficial visit. Quarterback coach Jonathan DiBiaso is his primary recruiter.

Thomas is a good looking athlete. He has good size at 6’0 185 and is a terrific athlete who can play quarterback, line up in the slot and even play running back. He has a dynamic skill set, one that Knights Coach John DiBiaso will put to great use this season.

Thomas is the first commitment in the Class of ’28 for O’Brien and his staff, The pipeline between Catholic Memorial and Boston College has been strong since DiBiaso took over. Thomas will be the eighth recruit from the school to commit to Boston College since 2018, joining Owen McGowan, Jaedn Skeete, Max Tucker, Datrell Jones, Mekhi Dodd, Marcelino Antunes and Mac Fitzgerald.

When O’Brien took over, he prioritized locking down Massachusetts talent and so far, he and his staff have done that. Just in the 2026 class alone, they have locked up five of the top eight players in the state with the recent commitment of Xaverian defensive lineman Dominic Funke.

Getting this commitment from Thomas now is big. He would have had several offers moving forward so to get his commitment this early in the process is huge for the Eagles. Thomas is a terrific young player and he will officially announce his presence this fall.
