Candle, who comes from Toledo, spoke at a press conference at Rentschler Field. The UConn football program is officially bowl-bound once again, accepting an invitation to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl in Boston for the second consecutive season. In a matchup that promises a fascinating contrast in styles, the Huskies will take on the historic Army West Point Black Knights on Saturday, December 27th, at the venerable Fenway Park.

Kickoff: The Huskies host Duke today in what will be their toughest test of the season. Duke is coming off a thrilling 46-45 win over Clemson. Kickoff: The Huskies are coming off a 37-34 loss in double overtime to Rice last week. It was the Huskies third loss of the season with all three coming on the road and in overtime. UConnquarterback Joe Fagnano completed 32-of-48 passes, career-highs, for 344 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Skyler Bell caught eight passes for a career-high 158 yards and a touchdown, and 80-yard score on UConn’s first play of the day. Fagnano has thrown for 300-plus yards in three-straight games and has four games this year with three or more TD throws. Bell has caught a TD in five-straight games and hit the 100-yard mark for the fifth time this season.
