Following the arrival of head coach Jason Candle, the Huskies are evaluating a revamped quarterback room featuring Tennessee transfer Jake Merklinger, dynamic redshirt freshman Kaleb Osborne, and returning signal-caller Tucker McDonald. We had a chance to catch up with UConn commit JD Brown. Brown who committed to the Huskies on Thursday. The South Walton High School (Fla) senior quarterback threw for 2,558 yards and 29 touchdown passes as a junior. Standing at 6’3, 195, Brown has good size and athleticism. He has plus arm talent and can make plays out of the pocket as well.
