On a day where the basketball team was the center of attention, we focused on the football team in our annual spring visit with the UConn Huskies.  After a disappointing 3-9 season, there were changes this off-season. As UConn continues spring practice, the Huskies may not have that clear-cut starter at the quarterback position. But what UConn does have, and it should not be undervalued, is experience. UConn hires Brad Robbins as quarterback coach

Jim Mora has hired Brad Robbins as the Huskies new quarterbacks coach. Robbins replaces former offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Charlton who left for the Cleveland Browns earlier this month. Robbins was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern Utah previously. According to a report by Pete Thamel, UConn will promote Gordon Sammis from offensive line coach to offensive coordinator. Nick Charlton, the offensive coordinator for UConn the last two years, has accepted a position with the Cleveland Browns, according to Pete Thamel.
