Bishop Feehan Athletics

Bishop Feehan returns a talented team led by quarterback Owen Mordas and defensive end Kane Mankins. The Shamrocks are still in Division 2 which is challenging but head coach Bryan Pinabell is playing a tough schedule to get his team ready.

9/5: Xaverian: The Shamrocks lost 35-14 to the Hawks last season but they hope to be more competitive this season. Xaverian returns a talented team.

9/12: @ Chelmsford: The Lions proved to be a tough opponent last season for the Shamrocks. Feehan 19-13 and they have go to Chelmsford this season. It won’t be easy.

9/19: Attleboro: Attleboro is much improved so this game might be closer than the 31-0 blowout win for the Shamrocks last season.

9/26 @ St. Mary’s: While I don’t expect another 13-0 game last like season, I still think this will be a battle.

10/4: Boston College High School: The Eagles should pose a stiff test for the Shamrocks, especially from a physicality standpoint. Two teams that pound the rock and set the tone.

10/17: @ Bishop Fenwick: Aside from last season’s 31-7 win, this has been a stiff test for the Shamrocks in recent years and this match up should be no different.

10/24: @ Franklin: One of the more intriguing late season match-ups. This should be a fun game to cover between two programs that are so well coached.

10:31: Taunton: Shamrocks close out the regular season against a talented and dangerous Taunton team that can make big plays.

11/27: @ Bishop Stang: Shamrocks took care of business last Thanksgiving, 27-7. This year’s game is on the road.

Final Thoughts: Pinabell loaded up the schedule with two Catholic Conference teams and two Hockomock teams. That should help Feehan be battle tested as they go into the playoffs. After finishing 9-2 last season, the Shamrocks should once again be a contender in D2.
