Breaking Down B.C High’s 2025 schedule

The Boston College High School Eagles finished 8-3 in Head Coach Paul Zakauskas’ first season. It was a good turn around for the Eagles but now the goal is to take the next step and contend for a Catholic Conference and state title.

Zakauskas beefed up the schedule to help the Eagles power rating and prepare them for the post season. B.C High plays one of the best schedules in Massachusetts.

Let’s take a look at it.

9/5/25: LaSalle Academy: The Eagles had their hands full with the Rams last year in Providence. LaSalle has a first year coach in Dan Koppen and they return quarterback Samuel Perry. It should be a good test out of the gate.

9/12/25: Central Catholic: The Red Raiders are a break out program to watch this season in the MVC. This should be a good early season test for both programs. John Sexton’s squad returns enough talent that they could beat the Eagles if they get off to a slow start.

9/19/25: @ Everett High School: The Crimson Tide struggled last season but new coach Rob DiLoreto will get the Tide back on track. They will be young and might not be quite ready for prime time but nonetheless, this is a rival game and I expect it to be a battle.

10/4/25: @ Bishop Feehan: A Saturday trip to Attleboro. This game will be a good test for the Eagles. Feehan is a good program and returns several key contributors like quarterback Tommy Mordas and defensive lineman Kane Mankins.

10/10/25: St. John’s Prep: Big test. The Prep won 28-0 last season so the Eagles will be looking for revenge this time around. This year’s match up should be a good game. Both programs have good young talent making this an intriguing match-up.

10/17/25: Malden Catholic: MC gave the Eagles all they can handle in a 20-7 loss. Joe Gaff’s squad plays tough and they are well coached. Expect this to be a back and forth game. The Eagles will need to make plays at key times to win it.

10/24/25: @ Xaverian: The Eagles beat the Hawks in impressive fashion last season, 30-13. The Hawks return several key contributors of last year’s Super Bowl team so this will be a battle for the Eagles.

10/31/25 @St. John’s Shrewsbury: Halloween match up could prove to be scary for the Eagles if they don’t come to play. The Pioneers are talented and should be interesting team to watch in the Catholic Conference.

11/27/25: Catholic Memorial: The Knights are among the best programs in the state and as always, there could be conference title implications on the line. The Eagles lost last Turkey Day 31-19 in a competitive game.
