Boston College gets commitment from Arlington OT Brady Bekkenhuis

Boston College remains hot with Massachusetts prospects in the class of 2026, as the Eagles got a commitment Saturday from Arlington offensive tackle Brady Bekkenhuis.

Bekkenhuis is 6-foot-6, 295 pounds, and has the frame to play either interior offensive line or offensive tackle at the Power 4 level. He is athletic, and once he gets his hands on you, Bekkenhuis is going to finish that block. He can get it done either as a pass or run blocker.

If you look at the 247sports.com and Rivals.com Massachusetts rankings in the class of 2026, BC now owns commitments from four of them, with DL Mac Fitzgerald of Catholic Memorial, OT Marcelino Antunes of Catholic Memorial, and OL Dean Ruksnaitis of Williston Northampton being the others. Bekkenhuis is listed as a top five prospect in the state in the Rivals.com rankings.

So BC is getting work done with local recruits in the 2026 class. That’s exactly what Eagles coach Bill O’Brien was hoping to accomplish when he came to The Heights.

It is always important for BC to lock down local offensive linemen, because Massachusetts always seems to produce quality players at that position. Bekkenhuis fits that bill, and should have a big junior season.

Bekkenhuis already had offers from Maryland, Syracuse, and Rutgers. He now joins an already-strong class of BC-committed linemen on both sides of the ball. This can lay the foundation to an even stronger class of Massachusetts prospects down the line. O’Brien will take that start.
